In addition to the control functions explained for the NL5000 already, this
device is extended by diagnostic routines for controlling the controlled tool.
If the diagnostic modus is on, the controller checks if the tool is connected correctly:
It checks the following subjects:
- if sensor corresponds to the right heater
- detecting of voltage reversal of sensors
- sensor breakage
- load breakdown
Before
checking the tool with the diagnostic routines, it must be checked that
no load exit is connected to a sensor and the other way around.
During
the diagnostic process all heating zones (one after an other) will get
an additional surplus of power. The controller checks the reaction time
interval of the sensor and if the correct sensor ist reacting, or if a
different sensor is reacting to the power surplus.
At the end of the test the controller informs, if the tool was connected correctly ("good" or "bad").
It will be displayed, which tool is checked by which sensor.
