How to use

The design is optimized especially for controlling hot-runner temperature controlling.
It offers the best overview for all control zones, it is simple to use and includes
extensive self tuning functions for an optimized adaption to the controlled system.
The device is to use independently of the hot-runner-system producer.

Construction

Control-electronic and semi-conductor control elements are handly boxed in a robustly constructed metal-casing.
Load-fuses are put on the front of the casing. This makes sure they are easily to replace.
 

Function

Controlling

Microprozessor-controller with self-tuning for an optimized adaption to the controlled system. It also automatically analyses the operating characteristics
of every control-zone and adapts automatically the controller performance.

Temperature display

In regular operation all current-values will be shown on the display in alternating order (NL5000 10 zones) or in groupes of 8-zones in alternationg order.
On button press the disppaly changes itīs mode to other  running parameters, like  control-level, limit-values,  tendency, load-current.

Set control-values

Control-values can be set at every time. Choose the control-zone first and then hit the Up-/Down Button.

Standby-operation

For every control-zone a second control-value is programmable.
Using an extern connection the control-values can be set for all controll-zones at the same time to this second control-value. It acts as a standby-value.

Alarm exits

For every control-zone 2 alarm-functions can be programmed. They do operate on 2 independently operating signal-exits with floating, which do itself operate as common exits for all  zones.
A high temperature alarm and a load-current failure alarm is preset.
 

Automatic detection of destructed sensors

In case of destructed sensors the controlller switch automatically to manual power control, an error message will be displayed.
The control will work with the last power control input.

Manual power control

Switching to  manual power control is also possible with already connected sensor.

Set-value check

To protect against mistakenly wrong programming a minimal and a maximal set-value can be programmed.

Softstart

The controller always starts with a soft start period for sensitive starting of
cold heaters. Power output is free for configuration.
Standard values are set to (50%/ 80%/ 5min.)


Monitoring of load-current

Load-current for every control-zone will be checked individually.
The alarm-connection will be operating in case of falling short of minimum load current.

Copy-function

For more easy use of setting the control-zone-values the configuration-values can be copied.


Individual setting of device

All device are preset to useful parameters.
Nearly all preset parameters can be changed easily and can be adapt to your specific production process.

Boost-function

The boost-function frees frozen nozzles.

Compound heating

Compound heating reduces tension in the tool.
