How to use

The design is optimized especially for use in  tool temperature controlling and in the plastic industry.
It offers the best overview for all control zones, it is simple to use and includes
extensive self control processes.
The controller is usable in  multizone-basic-units for hot-runner-, presses- and extruders-applications


Construction

Compact electronic control unit with integrated Triac-Switch (load-switch)
constructed as a  19" blade (3HE/10TE, plug is compatible with other control blades  3060TMD and 3080TPS, to use in basic units RG225 ... RG3060 (2... 30 zones).

Function

Control

Microprocessor controller with optimised automatic self tuning  for an optimized adaption to the controlled-system.
To use on reactive nozzel heaters as well, as on slow reacting controller processes and extruder zones

Current-Temperature-Display 

LED-Display (3 element fields) shows temperature in normal processing.
Additional the 10-element-bargraph shows the variance to control input
with a  logarithmic  scaling in 3 colors

Control-Input Menue

Using UP/DOWN Buttons the dispay automatically switch to the control input display.  Switch back can be done automatically or manually.

High/ Low temperature

High/ Low temperature-control input values can be set with the MODE-Button. The range is between +/-3 ... 99K. Values will be displayed.
Getting out of range will be anounced by blinking of a red LED.
At the same time the signal relais will be conected.
 

Cooler Exit (Option)

For controlling extruder-applications, a version with cooler exit can be delivered.
It can directly control smal fans (-motors)

Automatic detection of destructed controllers

Destructed detectors will be anounced by a corresponding LED light.
At the same time the controller will use the last control input for setting
the controller to manual power control
Manually settings are possible at any time.

Power control

The corresponding LED shows that the, 60%-zoning was activated.
The controller works then with a  maximum of  60%  power-output, to go easy on sensitive heaters.

Softstart

The controller always starts with a soft start period for sensitive starting of
cold heaters.The period is variable.
The temperature will stay below 80°C in this period.


Boost-Function

The 3070 THD-14  controller offers the possiblity to set the control input 1-9K
higher then it is normally set to.
This can be done at the first heating process to shorten the time to free froozen
channels.
After the boost the controller set himself back to control input.
This controlled high setting of temperature, frees frozen channels much faster.


Second control input

In addition with the Signal/ Alarm-Blade NL 3053 SX it is possible to activate a standby-routine. This will force a decline of the temperature to the defined standby input (in % ot the control input).


Power surveillance

Permanent voltage display with a 10-Element-Bargraph.
The presize  heating  power  (load-current)  can be shown on a display.
Additional a blinking LED will show  if a loading  burst did happen (load breakdown).
